Life After College :: Listen
Some colleges are trying to prepare their grads for life after class. Scripps The Women's College posted a commentary on an article about the difference between college and real life. The article quotes another writer who makes a clear distinction between class and work. In his article, Surviving Your First Year on the Job," Scott Williams writes the work environment has "less freedom and more structure; more responsibility and more accountability; less vacation time; less tolerance for mistakes and demands performance for the pay it offers, according to the Scripps website.

It is a rude awakening when you get out of school, and this article tries to explain what to expect, but there is never anything like taking the plunge into real life. To read the whole thing, go to www.scrippscollege.edu. I'd love to hear your stories and what went awry, or opposite of what you were expecting after graduation.
