Treasured Moments :: Listen
As I was rocking my daughter to sleep last night, it dawned on me that she is turning 3 months on May 6th. I realized how much I love holding her and rocking her in my arms, listening to her little breath and coos as she falls asleep. It dawned on me that time is marching on quickly and she is growing before my very eyes and I wondered, "how long am I going to rock my baby before she gets to big?" I felt my heart drop in sadness as I thought of how quickly she is growing right before my eyes. I will miss these precious moments of rocking her to sleep and holding her so close to my heart.

I've had many people tell me that I shouldn't be rocking my baby by this time but I believe they are wrong. Treasuring this beautiful time and showing my daughter she can depend on me to be there to comfort her in her time of need is utmost important. I know there will come a time of when I won't need to rock her to sleep but for now, I will do it for as long as I can.

Another thing I will miss is watching the different facial expressions she makes while falling asleep. She goes from grinning to serious faces to looking like she's blowing bubbles! Her eyes roll around and finally close. It's so cute! Watching her sleep is one of the most peaceful things I've ever seen. She looks like an angel.

My daughter doesn't cry unless she is hungry. Other than that, she is the happiest baby I've ever seen. She smiles a lot and has now been sleeping through the night since the time she was 2 months old! What a blessing!

How many people can say that about their babies?
